Capability is top on this list to select a calibrator to tune your vehicle. Selecting a tuner that knows your particular vehicle and modifications will give you more confidence in your build. Seeing previous customers cars or talking with the tuner will get you more information on how knowledgeable they are.

Each tuner will have a speciality. Is that speciality your particular vehicle? Tuning every platform is not having a speciality. You may want to pick someone with more knowledge in your platform so if parts are needed they know the proper brands and parts to pick. Attention to detail is key, and to know every platform is not realistic. Anyone can get by on a tune, but is it what you are needing for your build?

A couple of our 6th Gens went to SCT this past weekend and were able to get some personal bests. Dan Butler with the red Camaro was able to get a 8.33 @ 163. Next time we will launch a bit harder and adjust a shift point and get closer to that 8.20 goal or faster with a drop in piston combo at 4090lbs with the Magnuson Superchargers 2650.

So there comes a cross roads when a direct injected LT1/LT4 will require more fueling. This is because we are using fuels like E85 to make more and better/safer horsepower. But this fuel requires more of fuel system to move it. To add this fuel we need to upgraded the fuel system, substantially if you're wanting to make over 900rwhp.

Most go with the cheaper option and that is methanol injection. This allows us to add more boost since we use it to fuel the high side fuel system. But it does have its limits. Also, there is a limit of methanol that you want to rely on to keep your car happy, and also to a point that if the system fails you don't want complete destruction. Every tuner will vary on this.
