Do You Like Making Your Car Faster and Modifying It?

If your car has a VIN and is Fuel Injected and you like to modify your car to go faster this is for you. The EPA is going after automotive aftermarket companies, and are trying to stop you from purchasing parts like superchargers, exhaust systems and tuning. Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act or (RPM Act) has been a focus of mine for a couple years. This does not only affect the diesel industry, it affects ANY company in the aftermarket automotive industry. This is the reason SEMA and PRI are behind this.

The RPM Act is common-sense, bi-partisan legislation to protect Americans' right to convert street vehicles (cars, trucks and motorcycles) into dedicated racecars and the motorsports-parts industry's ability to sell products that enable racers to compete. (SEMA.ORG) https://www.sema.org/epa-news

The bill clarifies that it is legal to make emissions-related changes to a street vehicle for the purpose of converting it into a racecar used exclusively in competition. It also confirms that it is legal to produce, market and install racing equipment. The EPA has announced that enforcement against high performance parts—including superchargers, tuners, and exhaust systems—is a top priority. *** Read that again.

If this doesn't pass it could mean your modifications will not be able to be sold to you. Regardless of what you do with the car. This is just not for racecars, everyone in this industry can be affected by this.

If you have time, please sign/send a letter to your elected officials to not let another industry die, and keep racing alive.
